Featured Volunteer

Our featured volunteer for the month of July 2008 is Rita Young. Rita is a very familiar face in the building. She’s an administrative and clerical volunteer and has been here since September of 2007.

Rita loves volunteering. She loves learning new skills, meeting new people, and really feels loved at the Red Cross. Volunteering is exciting for her and she enjoys everyone she works with.

When she isn’t volunteering, Rita loves to read and write, and is currently learning to swim. She also used to be quite a good ball player.

Our recent Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony was one of Rita’s favorite days here. “It’s important to remember the ones we lost,” she says.
