Bob has been volunteering with the Red Cross for 9 years and really enjoys it. You can find him at drives in the Frederick County, Maryland area. Bob volunteers at the Frederick Donor Center, Mount Saint Mary’s, and anywhere else he is needed in the area. Often times, he’s willing to volunteer on short notice and can always be counted on. His favorite thing about volunteering is meeting and talking to new people. Bob likes chatting with younger generations, especially at Mount Saint Mary’s. When he isn’t volunteering, he enjoys researching family geneology, volunteering at the VA center in Martinsburg, WV, and trying to stay out of trouble! Bob’s favorite volunteering memory is of a little girl that came to a drive with her father a while back. While she waited for him to donate, she wrote Bob a letter, thanking him for volunteering and thanking the Red Cross. He still has the letter. Congratulations to Bob Perry, our Featured Volunteer for June 2009.
